From Tatranská Kotlina or Kežmarské Žľaby to Chalet Plesnivec

Easy pleasant hike to the only chalet in the Belianske Tatras suitable also for families with children. We start in Tatranská Kotlina at the bus stop Čarda. From here leads the easiest (green) trail to the chalet (1:55 h). The hiking trail starts right next to the main road either at the bus stop or from a paid parking lot. From this place, we can also go to an Educational Trail Fľak. Belianska cave is also nearby. We are gradually climbing a wide trail to a junction Šumivý prameň (literally „Sparkling Spring“) from where we steeply climb to a junction with a narrower forest path. This way we continue gradually climbing to the chalet. Here we can rest, refresh ourselves and decide whether we will return the same way or continue to tarns Biele pleso, Zelené pleso, saddleback Kopské sedlo or to return through the valley Dolina siedmich prameňov to Kežmarské Žľaby.

The second option how to get to the chalet Plesnivec starts in Kežmarské Žľaby (blue, yellow trail). At first, we follow a trail called Zbojnícky chodník to a junction Rázcestie Čierna voda where we turn off to a trail that leads into the valley Dolina siedmych prameňov. This trail is steeper but has more beautiful views.

The trail is open all year round.
