SKIBUS 2025/2026

Regional SKI & AQUA BUSES will be available primarily for skiers and GOPASS card holders in the winter season to transport them comfortably and for free to the ski resorts: Tatranská Lomnica, Štrbské Pleso and to the AquaCity Poprad water park . Selected ski bus lines will be in operation from December 6, 2025- April 06, 2026 , according to the attached schedules. The ski bus will run to the railway station too and the arrival/departure times are set so that passengers can change to/from the Tatra Electric Railway. * If shuttle SKI BUSES are not fully occupied, walking tourists can use them too, but passengers with ski equipment have always priority access. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PASSENGERS: SKI & AQUA BUSES serve primarily for skiers and GOPASS card holders (if a shuttle SKI BUS in the Štrbské Pleso and Tatranská Lomnica resorts is not fully occupied, walking tourists can use it too). We therefore ask all passengers to behave with consideration when getting on and off individual buses. Passengers with ski equipment have priority access. In the case of bad weather when cable cars in ski resorts do not operate, ski buses operate only in a limited way or not at all. The operator of SKI & AQUA BUS transport reserves the right to change the timetables due to bad weather, technical problems with individual buses and/or other unexpected circumstances. Please ask your accommodation provider about the latest changes as for the transport operation. The SKI & AQUA BUS helpline is available daily from 6.12.2025 to 6.4.2026 only while the buses travel, i.e. from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. In the winter season, the regional SKI & AQUA BUS transport is prepared as a priority for skiers and GOPASS card holders, which conveniently and free of charge transports skiers to the ski resorts of Tatranská Lomnica, Štrbské Pleso and the AquaCity Poprad aquapark.

Cable cars

The funicular is connecting Starý Smokovec with Hrebienok. In terms of time, it takes 7 minutes to get to Hrebienok. The route is 1,7 km long, the difference in alltitude is 255 meters. Hrebienok is the tourist centre and starting point for hikes into Veľká and Malá Studená Dolina or to Slavkovský peak. , Tatranská Lomnica and Skalnaté pleso Tatranská Lomnica and Skalnaté Pleso, which are one of the most visited places in the High Tatras, are connected by the cable cars. The first cable car runs to the station “Start”, where it is necessary to change to a second cable car that runs to Skalnaté Pleso. At Skalnaté Pleso there is a cable car that goes up to the Lomnicky peak and a chairlift that goes to Lomnické saddle. Skalnaté Pleso is located on the red trail called “Tatranská magistrála” which is a starting point for hiking trails to Chata pri Zelenom plese, Zamkovského chata, Hrebienok and others. In addition to hiking, it also offers attractions for families with children – e.g. educational trail around Skalnaté pleso, playground or Marmot´s land . There is also an observatory at Skalnaté pleso. , The chairlift Solisko Express will take you right under the top of Predné Solisko, to the height of 2093 meters above the sea level, providing you with the beautiful view on Mlynická Valley as well as Furkotská Valley. If you are interested in hiking, you can take the trail leading to Furkotská valley or back to the Štrbské Pleso.
