Basic rules regarding ski touring/ski mountaineering on ski pistes in the High Tatras
1. Ski touring on the pistes in Tatranská Lomnica and Štrbské Pleso will be permitted on designated ski touring routes throughout the daily operating hours. At Štrbské Pleso, the routes will be open until 8:00 pm.
2. Ski touring may only be performed at times defined by the resort operator, in accordance with the resort operating regulations and the terms and conditions of Ski Touring Season Passes, 1-day ski touring tickets and other 1-day and season ski passes issued by TMR, a.s. Ascents must follow the designated uphill routes, and descents may only be made along the marked pistes during the permitted hours,
3. Ascent routes are marked and reserved for safety and environmental protection, and all users must follow them.
4. Descents are only allowed along officially open ski runs.
Ski touring is subject to a fee from the 2025/2026 season
Ski touring/ski mountaineering prices – Tatranská Lomnica and Štrbské Pleso
1-day ski touring ticket at the ticket office 9,- EUR
1-day ski touring ticket online at www.gopass.travel 7,- EUR
Ski Touring Season Pass valid in Jasná and Vysoké Tatry 99,- EUR
Holders of any ski passes valid in the respective resort on the respective day, including season passes, are permitted to use designated ski touring sections on the pistes. The entitlement to use designated ski touring routes and ski touring ticket payment verification will be checked by the ski patrol in the field and by using other monitoring mechanisms and services.
**Mountain Rescue Service assistance is provided in the event of an injury or sudden deterioration of health on all designated and open ski touring ascent routes within the resorts. This applies to incidents occurring on marked ski runs or ski touring routes during operating hours, provided the skier holds a valid Ski Touring Season Pass or 1-day ski touring ticket.
